For the Future of Film Education
Building networks among practitioners and fostering future members.

Now in its third year, the TIFF International Symposium on Film Education provides a platform for people engaged in film education to meet and exchange ideas, while also exploring international examples to address challenges in the field.

In our first year, the symposium focused on “Learning from Overseas Case Studies,” and in our second year on “Film Education and Social Issues.”
This year, the theme is “Networks and Practitioners in Film Education.” We will examine the Netherlands, where a nationwide network for film education has been developed, and from Spain, where a certain curriculum for training practitioners has been implemented.
Together with participants, we will deepen the discussion on how to tackle challenges we face.
